Echuca has so much to offer weekend visitors; you can visit the historic, bustling Port of Echuca with its fine array of boutique shops and restaurants, take a cruise aboard one of the many paddlesteamers, visit a wide selection of wineries, indulge in your favourite sport (golf, bowls, swimming, aerobics, jogging, water-skiing, fishing and many more), go bushwalking along the river tracks or simply enjoy the mighty Murray River with a picnic on the riverbank (Kookaburra photo thanks to Ian Robertson).  kooka2.jpg (277596 bytes)

At Hodgson House (on the Murray) you can enjoy all of these activities and while at Hodgson House do as much (or as little) as you like. Located on the riverfront, with an in-ground heated pool, access to a private boat ramp, a private picnic table at the riverbank and a forest on the doorstep, Hodgson House offers an idyllic setting for a romantic getaway.  The Port of Echuca is within walking distance as our Walking Map shows. Just imagine how you can unwind at this haven on the magical Murray River.

Murray River Galleries - Aboriginal Art

Echuca boasts Murray River Galleries where you can find a great selection of original aboriginal art. Visit their website  Murray River Gallery . The investment art available for purchase from the gallery is all genuine aboriginal art collected from artists in the heartland of Australia.  Definitely worth a visit and you could well walk away with a special piece for your home.
